Ron Paul 2012

What interests am I voting against, with a vote for Ron Paul?

toonist

What does Paul want foryou as a Libertarian?

Ron Paul 2012

Simple, he wants me to follow the Constitution. Now your turn, please tell me what interests am I voting against if I vote for Ron Paul?

toonist

Does he want to turn the USA into a Libertarian's dream country? A place where everybody can have a gun, smoke dope. No government intervention letting everybody do their own thing...not living in a police state. Talk to me Paul, tell me what you'll do.

Ron Paul 2012

I wish you could answer questions half as as well as you draw.

So what you are saying is, you want the government to tell us all how to live our lives?

Ron Paul 2012

Please let me know if any of this means anything to you.

http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/

toonist

From what I know about Paul he wants this country to be run the same way as say...Somalia is run.

toonist

...and living in a country like Somalia is way against anybody own interests!

Ron Paul 2012

So not only have you not read anything from the link above, you haven't read anything about Dr. Paul either. But yet you want me to surrender my rights to you.

So which is it, you can't or won't answer my question? You drew the cartoon correct? Tell me please, what interests am I voting against, with a vote for Ron Paul?

Does being able to draw entitle you to your own facts?

Rocky

What does a wealthy Texas Republican politician and I have in common? I would guess, not a hell of a lot. I like some of what Ron Paul has to say, but I'm not prepared to follow him or promote him because I don't think he can relate to me, my family or to my human condition.

toonist

"Does being able to draw entitle you to your own facts?"
YES IT DOES! If you have a problem with that don't look at them! Besides I've learned over the years that if my cartoon favors you I'm a hero, if it doesn't I'm a piece of shit! Either way I don't care, they're just my opinions...not that anybody asked.
I thought Libertarians allowed people to have their own opinions? Apparently Democrats/Republicans/Libertarians are all cut from the same mold.
This answered your question: "...and living in a country like Somalia is way against anybody own interests!"
Now if you'll excuse me I have something more important than politics going on...playoff football.

Rocky

Rooting for the Patriots toonist?

toonist

I don't think so Rock!

warren,

Just Bend Over Paul 2012...It's in Your Own best Interests ...toonist walks the walk living like a "99%'er" , I can assure You!...LMAO!

Ron Paul 2012

Sorry if you took offense to my question tooist, but appreciative for better clarification of your perspective. Please do not put words in my mouth. There is a difference between opinions and facts. You put your cartoon (opinion or fact?) out for public comment, I commented and asked what I thought was a straightforward question. Perhaps you need a thicker skin if you're going to put words to your obvious talent. As to your answer to my question, I am not sure about your reference to Somalia. But judging from your comment about dope smokin’, gun carrying capitalist, I draw the conclusion you believe that Somalia is currently following our Constitution. Which is obviously wrong. But then at least I now understand how you could think that since as you claim you have your own facts.

Just say it toonist, you want to control my life. You care little about my rights, as long as you get what you want.

Ron Paul 2012

Rocky, as for me, we don't need to agree on everything, only that we must begin with swearing to protect each others rights. The ones given to us by our creator as outlined and protected in the Constitution. Can you accept that I and many others will settle for nothing less? If so, we have a starting point. If not, we still have a starting point, but I truly fear where it could lead.

What's not to relate to here Rocky? Who can you most relate to? I can relate to this more then all the other candidates combined. Including the POTUS.

Paul refuses to participate in "immoral" pension system -http://paul.house.gov/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=999&Itemid=28

Washington, DC: Congressman Ron Paul has returned $141,580 of unspent office funds to the US Treasury. This represents just over 9% of the total office funds, and an increase over the $100,000 returned last year.
“Since my first year in Congress I have managed my office in a frugal manner, instructing staff to provide the greatest possible service to the people of the 14th district at the least possible cost to taxpayers,” said Paul.
The surplus funds are intended to go towards paying down the national debt.

Dr. Paul would take a presidential salary of just $39,336, which is the median salary of the American worker (The President’s base salary is normally $400,000)

Ronald Ernest Paul was born on August 20, 1935 in Pittsburgh, the son of Howard Caspar Paul and Margaret (née Dumont) Paul. His paternal great-grandparents emigrated from Germany, and his mother was of German and Irish ancestry. Paul grew up in the western Pennsylvania town of Green Tree. His father ran a small dairy company.
At age five, Paul worked with his brothers in the basement of the family's home, checking hand-washed milk bottles for spots. As a junior at suburban Dormont High School, he was the 220-yard dash state champion. He attended Gettysburg College, where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and earned a B.S. degree in biology in 1957.
After earning a Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University's School of Medicine in 1961, Paul relocated with his wife to Michigan, where he completed his medical internship at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. He then served as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1965 and then in the United States Air National Guard from 1965 to 1968.
In 1968, Paul and his wife relocated to Texas, where he continued his medical work. Trained in obstetrics and gynecology, Paul then began his own private practice. As a physician, Paul routinely lowered fees or worked for free and refused to accept Medicaid or Medicare payments. A 2002 newsletter of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) listed Paul as a member.
As a member of Congress, he continues to refuse to sign up for the government pension that he would be entitled to in order to avoid receiving government money, saying it would be "hypocritical and immoral."

toonist

Gee willikers! My skin is thicker than Rand Paul's skull! I suppose the fact that I supported Bob Bahr in the last Pres election means nothing? Banners on web email and websites! Pro Bahr cartoons....I'm not a Paul fan! He means as much to me as does any Repub candidate or Obama! Still looking for my candidate! Now if you don't mind I have more important things to do than this politics shit.

Ron Paul 2012
Ron Paul 2012

Bob Barr? I can see why you as a liberal would support him.

Like him, you like to believe you have a higher right to others lives then they do. A wolf in sheeps clothing.

'Bob Barr was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1994. While in office, he was a strong proponent of the War on Drugs, authored the Defense of Marriage Act. Near the end of his time in Congress, Barr voted in favor of the USA PATRIOT Act and the authorization for use of force against Iraq.'

Ron Paul 2012

Maybe the reason you have not chosen a candidate yet, is because you are looking for one in the wrong country?

Rocky

Toonist, I have to disagree with you, there's very little that's more important than politics. Why? Those bastards hold your life and your quality of life in their hands, yet they behave as if they have divine rights or insights. They take advantage of the power WE give them to enrich themselves. They represent those who stuff money in their pockets, not those of us who vote them in office. They prostitute themselves, their values, our well being and our children's well being. It's our responsibility to make them accountable and that my friend is politics and we need to make it a priority in our lives. Put simply, our lives depend on it!

toonist

Politicians are the whores of the corporations! I've said all I can here...

Rocky

I agree with you 100% toonist and we need to tell them so, you with your drawings and the rest of us each in our own way.

warren,

Well Said Paul,

"Just say it toonist, you want to control my life. You care little about my rights, as long as you get what you want."

toonist has it Easy...Let's just say He is "Comfortable", as are a Lot of Folks who lack just one Desire in Life, which is the Power to Control the Live's of Others for Their Own Amusement.
