Martin Luther King, Jr.

I think what Toonist is trying to say with his cartoon is that as long as you vote 100% Democrat in every election then you'll be all set because apparently Democrats have all the answers. Just look at the last 3 years and you'll have all the proof you need.
I've seen the light.........
Take care,
WN

Why Martin Luther King Was Republican.
"Today, Democrats, in pursuit of their socialist agenda, are fighting to keep blacks poor, angry and voting for Democrats. Examples of how egregiously Democrats act to keep blacks in poverty are numerous."
Examples like, they want to keep people locked up for non-violent crimes. Those damn drug users, right Toonist?

What do you think Antonio, are we dealing with a Democratic conspiracy?
Posted by: Rocky | January 16, 2012 at 10:01 AM
No Rocky, a socialist one.

Whenever issues are too complex for our understanding or beyond our comprehension we turn to conspiracies as an explanation. What complex creatures we humans are, but predictable.

Vote 100% Democrat and we will all live in a Utopia with no problems, no poverty and no natioal debt. Just ask Rocky and Toonist, the Democrats have all the answers.
I repeat, I've seen the light.

WN do you ever look in the mirror? If you do, who do you see? I feel that I go out of my way not to give answers to the issues I bring up. I question all issues and all positions and usually don't offer answers. I do that intentionally because as I suggest with this comment, I want folks to look in the mirror and question their positions on issues. The Democrats are no more guilt free than the Republicans. So just keep that in mind when you spout Republican talking points WN. You keep demonstrating your narrow point of view which runs parallel to the Republican party line. Your sacred Republicans contributed to the national debt, your sacred Republicans contributed to poverty and slavery, just as the Democrats did. I don't see anybody providing us a Utopia certainly not the likes of Newt, Mitt, Ron, Sarah or Barack and, I don't believe that my expectations include a Utopian society.

Rocky,
When I look in the mirror I see somebody who cares deeply about the United States, somebody who believes in the ideals of our Founding Fathers and the US Constitution, somebody who believes in hard work and self-reliance, somebody who believes in freedom, somebody who believes that capitalism and the free market is the best way to lift the most people out of poverty, and somebody who is extremely concerned about our national debt and the ramifications that this uncontrolled debt has on the future of our children and grandchildren.
Any other questions?
Take care,
WN

Since you want more questions here we go. I would suggest that 99.9% of the people on this blog and maybe in society as a whole would say they want the same thing you eloquently state in your last comment. Do you believe that you can evaluate all of these issues objectively and without prejudice? Do you really believe that those who don't come to the same conclusions you do as being defective in their thinking? Do you believe that greed is acceptable in business? Do you believe that it's OK for 6% of the population to hold 90% of the wealth of the Country? Do you believe that it's OK that big money basically selects our elected officials? Please explain on what ground you base your opinions on these issues.

and 2 words for Wing Nut: Bain Capital
Posted by: toonist | January 16, 2012 at 04:19 PM
I see John Huntsman is Quitting....
Posted by: warren, | January 16, 2012 at 04:31 PM
Ah yes, the well thought out "Bain Capital" argument. So, these are our choices to solve our national debt and our economic woes;
1.) A far left Chicago community organizer (now Washington CD insider) who's never work a day in his life in the private sector or,
2.) A man who's never worked in DC and a man who helped to save the Olympics from bankruptcy and a man who actually worked in the private sector for a good portion of his life.
The choice is clear to me. Thanks for making such a good point Toonist about the merits of sending somebody to Washington who actually understands capitalism and the private sector.
Can you please serve me some of that fruity Kool-Aid you and Rocky seem to be enjoying?
See ya,
WN

-It would not taste right after Your Flavor....
2016 is coming, eh Tony?
Posted by: warren, | January 16, 2012 at 04:51 PM
You realize WN that it's one of your own (Republican) that made Bain Capital a big deal. If the Bain Capital accounts are but 50% accurate, it demonstrates one of the many ways the 1% keep adding to their portfolios at other peoples expense. WN, I really don't believe that you're out of that mold or that the practice is something you would condone or practice.
Posted by: Rocky | January 16, 2012 at 05:20 PM
Rocky, How Effective could the Bain Capital Issue be when used in the Coming Presidential Election by the Obama Campaign against Mitt Romney? Assuming Mitt is the GOP Nominee?
Posted by: warren, | January 16, 2012 at 05:50 PM
It could be Mitt's downfall if the allegations are proven. The disturbing side to this story is that it's a perfectly legal business practice. Listen to Mitt's rebuttal, it's all in the name of aggressive Capitalism. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that American Tissue leadership was accused of similar tactics.

Any ladies here? Mind if I join in?
Posted by: USA Carol | January 16, 2012 at 07:55 PM
Rocky, I believe Mitt represents the Pinstripe/ Checkpants Business as Usual republicans. I no more support Them than I do the Hard Left of the Democrat Party. I consider Myself an Independent Conservative and will not Fall into Step with Mitt, just as I did not with McShame in '08. I will Vote as I always do...but not for Mitt, should He be the One.

Thank you warren. Right now I'm looking over some posts and there seems to be an even number of Conservatives and Left-overs. Don't see any women yet? Who runs this circus? I was actually looking for a blog on food and got this place.Maybe it's karma?
